An Everyday Kind of Morning

by Sherrie

Late last week I decided to photo-document my morning when I was taking the shots for my Cricut giveaway. When I dumped the photos to my computer, I realized that my typical morning may not be terribly exciting or engaging for those who read this blog. Then it occurred to me that it’s ok that my morning routine isn’t incredibly glamorous. I like my morning routine–and there’s nothing wrong with being a little bit mundane, right? ;)  So here we are:

Every single day starts with coffee. This particular morning it started with coffee in my Memphis mug, which just makes me smile. I picked up this mug while in Memphis for HamFest. HamFest is the "official" name of our Pixel Gypsy team meet up. Every time I have coffee in this mug, I'm reminded of what a great time the Hubbins and I had with the girls and their significant others.
Once I have enough coffee in me to think, I tackle my list for the day if I didn't write it the night before. As much as I hate to admit it, I *need* lists. It's the only way things get done around here.
After the list has been made (or looked over) it's time to start tackling the stuff on that list. This particular day there was writing to be done. :) (Can I just say how annoyed I am that my monitor came with this stupid "Try Me" sticker on it? The damn thing is perma-stuck and I can't get it off with conventional means. One of these days I'll take some Goo Gone to it.)
Laundry. See...not very glamorous. However, I fall into the category of slightly Donna Reed because doing laundry in my lovely red washer and dryer makes laundry a happier task for me. :)

And so goes the bulk of a typical morning for me. Coffee, planning, work and some housework task like laundry. It’s once the kids are home from school and the Hubbins is home from work when things start getting interesting–but usually crazy enough where I forget to grab my camera. Go figure. :\

I hope that *you* have a lovely morning!
