52 Moments | A New Project

by Sherrie

I’ve tried Project 362 twice–and failed miserably both times. Since the turn of the new year I’ve been mulling over why I’ve had problems with Project 365 in the past. Part of it, I’m positive, is frequency. The other part, I believe, is that Project 365 is too broad for me. I need more focus or I get overwhelmed by the multitude of possibilities. So, I’ve decided to rework Project 365 to fit my own needs–into a 52 week project. 1 photo per week of each of my kids. 52 Moments in the life.

Here are my first photos for week one:

I was trying to get a picture of Nicholas all engrossed in playing Xbox, but at the last minute he looked toward the camera and I was just overtaken by how much he looks like Scott in the eyes. Plus, he’s not usually too keen on making eye contact with the camera, so this was an extra treat. :)

Madison was trying very hard to get out of any sort of picture taking. She finds both me and my camera to be a total cramp in her style. I’d made some offhanded comment and managed to get a bit of a giggle out of her and a fairly natural picture. I prevail!

I’ll be back each week to share my two photos. I think I’ve finally found a photo project that is manageable for me. So what if it isn’t P365 isn’t my thing. :)
